Who is responsible
BestInvestor is run by the founders of BestInvestor. BestInvestor is not a registered company. Questions about your data: joakim@bestinvestor.se.
What is public
Your username, your predictions and their results are published on your public performance record. That is what the service is for: anyone can view and link to your record, including wrong predictions. Your display name, Rating, forum posts and leaderboard positions are also visible to other users.
What we collect
- Your email address (and name from Google, if you sign in with Google)
- Your username, display name and optional bio
- Your predictions and their results
- Your simulated portfolio: orders, holdings and monthly results
- Forum threads and posts you write
- Private leagues you create or join
- Feedback messages you send us
- Reports you make about content or users
- Notifications we send you in the app, and your notification settings
- A few items in your browser’s storage (see Cookies & storage below)
Why we use it
We use this data to run your account, public record, leaderboards and contests. We also use it to moderate content and prevent abuse such as multiple accounts.
Who processes it
Your data is stored with our hosting and database provider, Lovable Cloud (built on Supabase). If you sign in with Google, Google handles that sign-in. We get market prices from a market-data provider; it receives no personal data. We do not sell your data or use advertising or tracking services.
How long we keep it
Until you delete your account.
Your rights
- Access: download all your data in Settings → Data protection & account → Export my data.
- Deletion: delete your account in Settings → Delete my account. This removes your account and data.
- Correction: edit your profile in Settings, or email us.
- Complaints: you can complain to the Swedish data protection authority, Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY).
Minimum age
You must be 16 or older to create an account. Contest prizes are only paid to members aged 18 or older.
